Coverage We Help You Compare
Most of our clients come to us for individual health insurance or family health insurance, often through ACA Marketplace plans where income-based savings can lower the monthly premium. We also help you add dental insurance, vision insurance and accident insurance so the gaps in a medical plan are covered. Each plan is laid out next to its alternatives, with the deductible, network and out-of-pocket maximum in plain view.

Individual Health Insurance
Coverage for one person, compared across carriers by a single advisor who explains deductibles, networks and premiums before you choose.
Family Health Insurance
Coverage for parents and kids on one plan, compared side by side across carriers, with your pediatrician and medications checked before you enroll.
ACA Marketplace Plans
Help choosing and enrolling in an ACA Marketplace plan, from estimating your tax credit to checking that your doctors are in network.
Dental Insurance
Dental plans compared on the details that matter later: waiting periods, annual maximums and whether your dentist is in network.
Vision Insurance
Coverage for eye exams, glasses and contacts, with plan options from several carriers laid out side by side so you can see what each one pays for.
Accident Insurance
Supplemental coverage that pays you cash after a covered injury, so a broken wrist or ambulance ride does not drain your savings while you meet a deductible.
How Working With Us Goes
From the first call to the first time you use your card, one advisor handles each step with you.
- 1
A free first conversation
You tell us who needs coverage, which doctors you want to keep, any regular medications and a monthly budget you are comfortable with. This usually takes a short call.
- 2
Side-by-side plan options
We line up plans from multiple carriers and go through premiums, deductibles, copays and networks with you. You can take time to think it over and come back with questions.
- 3
Enrollment, done together
Once you pick a plan, we help you complete the application and check that your income, family members and start date are entered correctly. Small mistakes here can cost you savings, so we review them carefully.
- 4
Help after you enroll
When your card arrives, a claim looks wrong or you have a life change mid-year, you call the same advisor. We also check in before the next open enrollment to see if your plan still fits.

A Local Office Built Around One Contact
Private Health Insurance Largo helps individuals and families in Pinellas County find health coverage that fits their doctors and their budget. We focus on individual and family plans, ACA Marketplace coverage, and the dental, vision and accident plans that sit alongside them.
We work this way because insurance is confusing enough without being passed from one call center to another. When you work with us, the person who learns about your situation is the person who stays with it, through enrollment and the questions that come up later in the year.
What Sets Our Approach Apart
Most people shopping for coverage end up retelling their situation to someone new on every call. We arranged our work so you don't have to.
- 01
One advisor on every call
The person you reach first is the person who compares plans, helps you enroll and handles your questions later. Your doctors and budget only need explaining once.
- 02
Plans from several carriers, compared
We line up plans from multiple carriers so the real trade-offs are visible. A low premium paired with a high deductible looks different once you see the cost of an ordinary year of doctor visits.
- 03
No charge for our work
There's no fee for the consultation. We are paid by the carrier you enroll with, so our review of your options is free to you.
- 04
Straight talk, even when it's no
When your current plan already fits, we say so. When a lower-priced plan would drop a specialist you rely on, we flag it before you sign.
- 05
Your choice of how to meet
Come to our office for a face-to-face meeting, or talk by phone or video if that's simpler. Many clients begin with a short phone call and wrap up enrollment on video.
What Drives Your Premium
Health insurance has no one set price. Carriers build premiums from a few factors, and once you know them, it's clear why two quotes can differ so much. We go over each with you before comparing plans.
We get current premiums from the carriers using your details and line them up next to each other. Every figure comes directly from the carrier, and we explain each line before you decide.
- Age and smoking
- Older applicants pay higher rates, and tobacco users may pay an extra surcharge. Your plan choice doesn't change either one, so we focus on what you can control.
- Income and help with premiums
- For ACA Marketplace plans, your expected annual income and family size determine whether you get a premium tax credit. For many clients, that makes the largest difference in the monthly bill.
- Metal level and deductible
- Bronze, silver, gold and platinum plans divide costs in different ways. A smaller premium generally comes with a bigger deductible, which weighs more if you visit doctors often or fill regular prescriptions.
- HMO or PPO
- HMO plans are usually cheaper but limit you to a fixed network, and PPO plans offer more choice for a higher premium. Before you pick, we check your doctors against every network.
- Who the plan covers
- Including a spouse or kids changes the premium, as does adding dental insurance or vision insurance. Some families pay less by covering certain people on separate plans.
- Timing of enrollment
- When coverage begins depends on open enrollment or a qualifying life event. Signing up late can leave you uninsured for a stretch, so it helps to plan ahead.

What Clients Want to Know
Do I pay anything for your help?
No. There's no fee for the consultation, and the carrier you choose pays us. The carrier also sets the premium, which stays the same with or without our help.
Can I keep my doctor on a new plan?
It comes down to each plan's network, and networks differ more than people assume. For every plan we show you, we search for your doctors and preferred hospitals. If a cheaper plan leaves one out, we tell you before you decide.
Can I get help with my monthly premium?
Lots of people can. For ACA Marketplace plans, premium tax credits depend on expected annual income and family size. During the consultation we estimate what you may qualify for and show the effect on your monthly cost.
What if I miss open enrollment?
Marketplace open enrollment happens every year from late fall into January. At other times, a special enrollment period may open after a life event such as losing job coverage, moving, getting married or having a baby, typically for 60 days. Dental, vision and accident plans often allow more flexible start dates.
Can a health condition stop me from getting a plan?
ACA Marketplace plans can't refuse you or raise your price over a pre-existing condition. Certain dental and accident plans require a waiting period before some benefits begin. We list any waiting period on your comparison so you know about it up front.
Do we need to meet at your office?
No. You can visit us in person, and plenty of clients do it all by phone or video instead. Enrollment is the same either way.
What should I gather before the first call?
An estimate of your annual income, your doctors' names, any medications you take regularly and birth dates for everyone to be covered. Have your current plan card or summary handy if you have one. If something is missing, we can add it later.
